ok i know you can buy hood pins and use them and it's wonderful and all but i want to use them for the hatch! reason is, my hatch mechanism is a piece of junk and this just seems way easier than buying a new one and all that... Anyone know if this can be done? suggestions at all would help

 

I'm thinking anyone could gain access to the interior of your car that way. unless your hatch still locks?

they have locking hood pins where you would need a key to open them.... sides... if i put the pins underneath the spoiler on my bird, i don't think anyone would really notice...

 

As long as you can get the hatch to seal well, go for it. That's the only problem that I can see. How hard would it be to unlock the pins if they're under the spoiler? Just a thought.

 

you can get locking ones? do they look stupid? I have hood pins on my camaro but I'd sooner have locking ones,

of course you can get locking ones.... they have them at the jegs website... www.jegs.com
prolly alot of other places but i haven't looked anywhere else to see what other kinds there are...
