How do you remove the Driverside Rear interior piece????

How do you remove the Driverside Rear interior piece????

Im talking about where you have that little storage box, How does that whole piece come out? does it just pull out???? HELP PLEASE!!!!

It's easier if you remove the whole cover for the hatch motor (that back piece). After that, it's just a matter of removing screws, seatbelt cover, hatch shock cover, speaker panel, and that little thing that the back seat hooks on to. You'll need a T-47 bit to remove it. After all the fasteners are removed, there are some little clip type things that hold it on. You should be able to pull and twist and get the piece out without messing up or breaking any of them.

There's a fastener behind the trunk box cardboard panel located behind the middle of the box. Pull the entire plastic piece towards the rear of the car until you get it clear of the fastener.

Along those lines I have an '89 that has a retractable cargo cover, but it's getting in the way of my subs. How do I take that off?

To remove the shade, push it to one side or the other, and then pull it out. The ends are held in place by springs on each end.

There are 2 Phillips screws holding in the shade holder.
