Door Lock Keys
Door Lock Keys
Anyone know where I can get the codes for door loack keys. Recently purchased an 85 "bird" and through its life span its origonal door keys disappeared. Have been to local dealer and was told that they only go as far back as 90

PHS sells a package for 49.00 that includes a copy of the original invoice. My copy has the origianl key codes printed on the invoice. The other documentation in the package was awesome as well, so I would call it worth the money.

I have been to SOME salvage yards where they keep the keys on a string around the steering column. You can pop of a set from a junkyard, get the one from the hatch, install em in your car.
You can also remove one of them from the door and take it to a locksmith, they should be able to match a key for you.
On a similar note to give you an idea. When I bought one of my cars it did not have a the correct T-top on the driver side, it had no key hole. I went to a junk yard, found a broken T-top and took the metal bar & trim pieces. I took apart the lock and stuffed my key in it. I then filed the tumblers to fit my key.
The short of it is, there is alot you can do.
