Removing hood from 87 iroc
Hello everyone,
My 60,000 mile iroc's hood clearcoat is starting to crack below the hood lovers. I want to get it repainted and wanted to take the hood off and take it to the paint shop. Is it as easy as it looks? just remove the lift suports and a bolt on each side of the hood? Or is there more to it?

its pretty straight forward. i usaually put a few rags over the windshield, just in case. do yourself a favor and mark the position of the hood to hinge with a pencil or marker before taking the hood off. it will make it alot easier to align the hood when you reinstall it.

Yes, fairly simple. Two bolts on each side. Highly recommend using two people go lift off. Seen a windshield get spider webbed.
