T-top locking problem...

For some reason, the latch on my driver's side top acts as though it's locked even after I"ve unlocked it. Anyone seen/heard of this before and how do I fix?

Thanks ahead.

I don't know if the locking mechanism on your '89 is the same as my '83 TA but on the '83 you have to insert the key and unlock by unscrewing the lock cylinder until the cylinder button "springs" down. It takes like 3 complete turns with the key. If the cylinder button doesn't pop down (you only turn the key a couple of times), the tops remain locked.
I hope this helped.

hmm, yeah, that's definately a little different. On mine it's just like the door lock, 90* turn of the key and it *should* unlock, at least, that's how the passenger side one works, and the driver's side one just started this about a week ago.
