Center caps for GTA rims?!?

I just purchased a set of gold GTA rims for my 91 trans am for only $50. Nice condition too. But of course...no center caps. I'm looking for ones with the gold bird on it.

So my question is will any cap fit my rims or do I need to get a specific kind.

Please check these out from ebay...will they fit?

Thanks

One more supid question...maybe two.

I read that 16" rims came with the GTA. How do you measure rim size? Because when I measure from one edge to the other (through the center of course), it comes out to 17".

The tire was cut off of one of them and I can read that it used to be P245/50ZR16. Does that mean 16"?

Yes, the GTAs came with 16" rims from the factory, and it appears that is what you have as well. Actually I've never tried to measure my car's wheels.....

The correct tire size would be 245/50VR16... or ZR16 for 1989 and later models.

And.... yes, those center caps in the first eBay ad are the ones that you need. Those were used on the 1987 GTAs. The chrome ones in the second ad will fit too, but those were used on the 2ndGen Trans Ams.

Hope this helps.

Thanks...helps alot. One more question though.

I checked out some tires on www.tires.com. What are good prices for some all weather tires. Their's were about $100 each. Is that average?

My tires for my 16" wheels were right around $110 a piece.....so I guess the ones you are looking at sound about right.

The center caps should be available from a dealer. I bought some for pretty reasonable.
