My power rear hatch has been working great up until now.I can't get it to pull down the hatch or even catch it at all.When I push the console switch I can still hear the release latchb let go.I think the motor might have died.Nothing seems loose.Thanks for any help.

 

before you go getting a new motor, try reseting your's first. i bought one without trying this and its $400 from the dealer. in between the two sliding tracks, in the center of the assembly that slides down, is a small metal tab. this hits a small black plastic switch (that is also a little tab) when the assembly is almost all the way down. push this plastic switch down with a screwdriver and the motor may start working again.
