Need help ASAP
Help me guys, my car is getting killed by the recent rain we have had in chicago. Last night we had one heck of a storm. I went out to start her up this morning, and i noticed about 5 inches of standing water on the passenger side floor. I saw a little trace of water on my door panel, but not enough to believe it ran down. And if it ran down my a pillar to the floor, wouldn't there be a wet mark in the carpet showing how it got there? There is nothing like that, just a big puddle and no trace of how it got there. Of course it is a T-top car, and i have the usual leaks on front driver seat and passenger rear seat. My passenger rear leak is strange, it runs out of the gray trim piece that runs over the rear seats. I know i need to replace the seals, but what can i do to stop this now, before my carpet is ruined and my florr is rusted? PLease help

When you finally decide to dry out your car remember to peal back the carpet and let it dry for a few days. had a car that leaked really bad before I bought it and i had to put a fan in it for several days before all the water under the carpet would dry. I litterally had to blow air under the carpet

Sp where do you guys think it is coming in from? I would like to try and prevent this from happening again. I know it will leak until i change the seals, if anyone has had this problem, where did you find the water to be coming from?
Mine was leaking on the passenger side down under the post next to the dash. I looked and found the water ran down inside under the carpet and filled up the back floor. I agree about the carpet it will really smell if you don't run a fan under it and dry it out, not to mention what the water will do to the metal. I used silicone caulk in a regular caulk gun and filled up every opening I could find. Works great.
