Steering wheel upgrade - Autotechnica Any Good?
I like the stock Camaro steering wheels but I am looking at getting another one, mine was leather wrapped and that has since seen better days...I saw an Autotechica steering wheel in the new Summit catalog (the one with the red '34 Chevy Sedan on the cover) on page 119. Are these any good.. they are $49.95 and from the look of it looks just as good as a Grant steering wheel which goes for $170.00 . Is this a good buy or are these wheels crap?
Anyone have one of these?
Let me know

" This is a pic of mine. I guess I'll say it is decent. It looks really good, but it does quite have the quality of a Grant, but like you said, it's only $50. Mine is going in a primarily drag-raced car, and I would save $120 to spend on GO-FAST stuff rather than a steering wheel. It comes with a cheesy looking horn cap, which as you can see in the pic, I remedied, but I think all the Grant billet horn caps will fit it. All in all, they're worth $50 IMO.

Nothing against Autotechnica, since I'm unfamiliar with them. I'm simply offering my opinion of the Grant Signature Series wheel (black three-spoke, leather wrapped). Along with the billet sleeve and a 'Camaro' horn button, the wheel looks, and more importantly, feels great. Highly recommended.

I have the same wheel as Bassett Racing only with grey inserts. I like it a lot. My only complaint is that it doesn't come with the mounting hardware you need. You need the Grant install kit for our cars which is $15-$20 and also the Grant extension $30. The extension is the one that comes with their signature steering wheels. That $50 turns to almost $100 but still a very good wheel. The horn button is a peice of crap. Find something else to put in its place. Mine looks really bad, ecause I cracked it. Some @$$hole cut me off and did about 25 under the speed limit, so I slammed my horn and cracked the button, because he almost wrecked me
