Fog Lights

So, I got this pair of OEM junkyard foglights today. For free. Now I have been looking for a set for a long time, and I really have no problems cleaning them up. the inside of the foglight is rusted, and the little bezel that goes around the foglight is rusted beyond repair. The lenses are very foggy. Now, I would like tips on how to clean the fogginess of the fog lights. (Ironic) and where to get a new bezel for the foglights, and how to clean the inner metal workings of them. Thanks!

Re: Fog Lights

CLR might help the lenses on the inside. I just cant remember if they are glass or not. New bexels are a hard thing to come by now and Ive never seen a repro set at all. As for cleaning the housings for them wire brush , sand paper and some elbow grease

Re: Fog Lights

They are glass. I don't think I have ever seen a set that didn't have rust on the bezels. I just recently refurbished mine as they had some rust on them that I wanted to remove before it got out of hand. I wish I knew of a place that sold replacements. The fog lights are ridiculously expensive. I wish I would have known how expensive these camaro parts were going to be. I would have bought a ton of stuff and held on to it. I remember when the fog lights were 80 bucks a piece and hood louvers were 50.

Re: Fog Lights

If the bezels can still hold their shape use some metal filler and fill in the holes. There are a bunch of different brands out there that are able to sand. As for the lights get some glass polish and go to town on the outside. The inside of the lights have a foil backing so I don't know if CLR will do more damage then good.
