Hi guys, got a quick question cuz I am just kind of curious. I had an 86 Z28 and it was in a few accidents and had been painted, but my question is that that car had metal hood louver orniments. Now on my All original and 35,000 86 IROC (never been in an accident or anything) has plasic hood louvers. Which ones are stock?? Metal or plastic??

 

I've never seen anything but plastic, including the ones on my 85 IROC.

I had plastic on my 86 IROC and I've only seen plastic on all models.

 

The factory hood louvers are plastic. Never seen or heard of metal ones on the aftermarket.

 

Here is another vote for plastic....I suppose metal ones would look like crap after a few years(all rusty and everything) that is probably why GM went with plastic.
