door glass slop

How much play should the door glass have?
I'm replacing parts on my drivers side door and the glass can rock back and forth, is this normal? It as power windows.

sounds like yours has to much play and needs adjusted

adjustment is a piece of cake though. Once you pull the door panel, you just need to loosen the two slotted brackets, slide them closer to the window, and tighten them back up.

I have this problem too. I have already done what Jim85IROC said to do, but it only helped when the window was lower than halfway up. Above that, the window still rattles when you close the door with the window open a little bit. I tried doing the adjustment with the window up almost all the way, but then it was really sloppy when it was low, and it made the window stick out about 1/8 inch past the weather stripping, so it didnt seal. Any other suggestions? Could my weather stripping be bad? It is 9 years old, so I guess that could be the problem.

I had the same problem, and if I recall correctly I had to squeeze the metal tracks inside the door back together. They had over time opened up too much causing quite a wobble - don't go too tight as your motor has to work too hard to get the window up, the same goes for the two adjusters at the top of the door.
