Option differences between the '92 Z28 and RS models

I will be looking for either a hardtop '92 Z28 or RS with a manual transmission, however, I would like to know what some of the differences were in the options that were available.

I don't care for the rear spoiler on the Z28 so I am trying to determine if there are any options the Z28 had that I can't live without. Should I get a Z28 and change the spoiler to the RS-style spoiler that I prefer. Or is it worth the effort?

Thank you!

please tell me your kidding!!!!! you really mean this don't you?

i will send you an rs spoiler free of charge for your z28 spoiler which is worth it's weight in gold in most parts

but seriously besides the awsome spoiler that you don't like and the sweet Z28 hood louvers that give the hood some distinction you were also treated to a better injected engine called the tune port as well as getting some sweet Z28 badging which is always a plus to have!! and the list continues

but we will also say the rs is nice if you want a camaro with out all the flare and a nice v6 or TB injection. the looks aren't as flashy as a Z28 so i suppose i could see why one might prefer to go this route. as well as insurance is cheaper to an extent and when trying to purchase one the price isn't nearly as high as a Z28(usually almost half), but then again neither is the resale value. (but i'm sure your buying because you want it and not to make money right!) so anyway to some it up unless you bought a B4C RS camaro; your Z28 model basically will outperform the RS stock to stock....especially the 5.7

if you have plans to mod your RS then this wouldn't bother you or like i said earlier you can strip all the Z28 parts and i'll be happy to trade you RS parts in a heart beat!!

if you are going to buy a 91-92 Z28 please don't buy a 5.7 if your going to take everything off. there are very few left as it is. buy a 305, but then again i guess that won't be a problem if you want a manual

The difference is the engines, exterior stuff, suspension, guages, fog lamps (z only), steering wheel and parking brake handle. (both leather in the Z, vinyl in the RS).

The rest is pretty much the same, same options etc..

If you are going on looks only an Iroc is the same thing as a Z but it has the same spoiler as a 91-92 RS. And that way you get the better engine and drivetrain. Maybe that is a better option for you.

Thanks guys!!! I know that I offend when I express that I don't really care for the spoiler but I must admit, it is growing on me. I will probably go for the Z28 with the 305 engine and manual transmission.

Thanks again!
