Hey, new to this forum Just got an 1989 Camaro RS, it used to be a TPI but was converted to carburation has some minor bolt ons, intake, mild cam, 600cfm carb and I think its got a shift kit. The only thing I need is a hood...I got an Iroc Z28 hood lined up but the previous owner said that when the 305 was pulled and converted to carb it had clearence issues with the air cleaner, he suggested a cowl hood, but I really wanna stick with stock if possible....what can I do? THANKS GUYS!

 

You can try a dropped base air cleaner. Worked for me in the past on Firebirds.
