91-92 front bumper help!!!!!!!

91-92 front bumper help!!!!!!!

K I have a 89 formula with those stupid *** bumpers that have the black in them, I have a line up on a 91-92 Trans am bumper, is it possible to hack the bottom off where the ground effect goes without it lookin butchered?

Nope, as the 91-92 nose sticks out further, and incorporates the ground effects into the fenders. You would also have to re-locate your blinkers. There is also an issue of the bumper support structure as well.

Not concerned with the lights and the support, just would it be able to be cut on the bottom?

I took another couple of pics after I read your response. The nose sweeps down and into the fender ground effects in a smooth motion. I wouldn't know where to tell you to start cutting it. Hope the pictures help a little..

Car: 87 Formula T-Top, 87 Formula HT
Engine: 5.1L TPI, 5.0L TPI
Transmission: 700R4, M5
Axle/Gears: Sag 3.73, B&W 3.45
Try & and a 91-92 Base Firebird or a Formula front facia, that would be better than trying to hack the T/A one.

Keep in mind that the headlights are slightly different. in 91 - 92 the headlights were smaller, and the Black trim piece that adds in Aerodynamics is also different. The top cover piece is also differnt. Basically all the moving parts on the 91-92 headlight asm are different.

The Motor, the arm, the part that bolts to the body is all the same.

You will also have to relocate your turn signal to the front of the facia as per 91-92 setup.
