need help with rear hatch

the black trim around my rear hatch on my 92 camaro is starting to get rust spots what is the best method to use to help with this problem

Engine: 5.1L TPI, 5.0L TPI

Transmission: 700R4, M5

Axle/Gears: Sag 3.73, B&W 3.45

When I do my cars, I will take off the hatch then mask & sand that black metal strip. Get some SEM OEM black paint and paint away.

Job usually takes me about 3 hours.

Get a friend to help remove the hatch.
