I was looking at a C-5 and the headlight looks like it might be adaptable to fit in our pop ups. What do you think

The C-5 housing is 11" wide, ours are about 10" wide.

jobryan26 NOT the headlight housing, the acutal light asseblies, With the lights up you can see that the high & low beams are seperated. Ours are one headlight, high & low beams.

okfoz. looks like you got it working, but the reason(s) it wasn't working:

as far as the lights, the baffle/chassis would be a major PITA to swap. two completely different designs. theirs lies flush, ours don't... only thing that I would like to do is their motors.. the headlights spins like 180degrees or so when it pops up...
instead of the 5" ROM, it has a nice 10" or so ROM

arent the C5s' identical to the 98-up firebirds as far as the actual headlamps not the housing?

 

The 98 up headlamps appear to be standard headlights but side by side, they are almost 18" wide I think, without measuring them. The C5 has headlights that are side by side but about the width of our headlight. The C5 headlight cover is 11" wide approx, our cover is about 10" wide.

I know the width of the housing is an extra inch on the C5. I am now curious to see how wide the actual light is. Thinking about it, it looks like the light might be too wide & not tall enough to look right.

Of course I would have to make a housing out of fiberglass or something.

I will have to think about it some more.
