Thirdgen seats in a 66 mustang

Well this is thirdgen related, sort of. My friend has a 66 mustang we are restoring, converte from 6 cyl to 302. Anyways, factory mustang bucket seats suck, they have a very short back and they do not recline at all. My dad and I put new seats in my sistes 87 camaro, so I had a pair of factory 87 camaro highback seats on my hands. they have tears in the fabric, but my frien is gonna re cover them with vinyl or leather. they almost match the factory back seats now, excepth that theyre gray cloth and the back seat is redd vinyl, but the pattern is very close. And they are a hell of a lot more comfortable than factory. they fit in amazingly easy, heres all we had to to.

1.) remove the tracks from the bottom of the mustang seats.
2.) get a piece of metal about 3" long, drill 2 holes in each end about 2.5" apart. bolt one end of this to the back of one seat track, an do the same for the other. Now you have 2 seat tracks about 2.5" longer than stock. This is to make the camaro seat bolt to the mustang seat track. you must also use the camaro bolts to go through the track, the mustang ones are different thread.

3.)Drill 2 holes in the floor pan for the inside seat mount holes (the ones next to the center console) about 5/8" outward from stock, since the thirdgen seat base is a little narrower.

4.) bolt the seat in an youre done.

I will post pics as soon as possible, it looks sweet and its alot more comfortable.
