Under side damage
I noticed this today when attempting to install my subframe connectors.
What do you think this is from? Maybe the car was pulled out of a ditch by a wrecker? Is this from frame straightening? Has anyone seen this?
First and Third picture is the same spot in the front. The second picture is in the rear on the subframe. Both sides of the subframe have the same damage and this is exactly where my Alston's connect.

i would hope no professional of any kind would do something like that. i would guess someone who doesnt know how thin that is strapping it down to a trailer and driving it that way

Re: Under side damage
I've only owned the car for a few months and never noticed the damage before. However, yesterday was the first day I spent a good deal of time under the car.

i would clean the rust off and spray it with undercoat or a few coats of paint. the wire brush that you attach to a drill would likely take care of the rust pretty easy and are fairly cheap at harbor freight or northern tool
