I will be repairing a notch in my fiberglass hood shortly. I have no experience using the stuff. Seeking basic info on working and forming the stuff. All the sites I've looked over seem to more interested in how many layers or how to make a MDF frame, not the basics

Any suggested reading for a newbie?

 

I could sit here and give you a step by step on how to repair or how to build a fiberglass piece. and there are so many ways to do any of it. But that would be a very long thread for me to right, I would suggest going to www.fiberglassforums.com There is a lot of good information on that site not only how to repair fiberglass but also how to form out of fiberglass. The site it self is not excepting new members but you will want to register anyway. this way when you come to the time when they say you've read all you can for that time you can log on and then back off to clear the cookies and continue on reading the posting.
