I have a 1987 GTA with the gold cross-laced wheels. The centercaps are missing. What I really need is to find a source for replacements. Also does anyone know what the center emblems looked like on this particular bird?

 

One of two different centercaps would be correct. Either would use a black cap with either a gold Firebird (turkey outline) emblem or gold lettering with WS6 in the middle and Performance Suspension around the edge.

The caps and probably the emblems are available from any GM dealer, expect to pay between $20-30 each for a complete cap assembly. Also if you watch ebay, complete sets with emblems show up from time to time.

Heh, no, the username is over a differnt problem related to the car.

It's hard to see but one has a small crack in the emblem. Other than that they are in pretty good shape. Those came with the GTA wheels I bought but I painted the wheels black & found some silver WS6 caps in the junkyard so those gold ones have just been collecting dust in my garage (along with the car lol)
