Hey all , I haven't been here in a while (working on my 2013 Mustang ) . I am fixing to get my car painted finally . I am going to be replacing the windshield . I cannot find the reveal moulding for 82-84 , will the moulding for 85+ fit or does anyone have any suggestion for a substitute ? Thanks for the help !!

 

Call around to a few autoglass shops.
I am sure they have the correct aftermarket glass moulding you need.
Prob. a heck of a lot cheaper than a OEM 84 specific piece.

 

The 85 will fit. It is IIRC about 1/16 wider then the original but once installed it looks original. The worst molding is the one that comes on replacement windshields which is way to wide.

 

I checked at Saflite's website and the quote was
$248 with moulding . Should I call and ask how wide the moulding is ? Thanks for the replies

 

It's going to be the big ugly replacement molding. It is pre-installed on the windshield to make install idiot proof for today's below average installers.

 

Call around I had one put in my car and the guys who installed it had different ones and they had just the right size for my 91
