Does anyone have an idea what this tag references? It's attached under the hood by the battery.

After reading that thread, there's a lot of info, but very little actual fact revealed about these tags. Gotta love a mystery.
My '88 T/A had a place for a tag on the driver side, but no tag. Has the one on the passenger side.
