1984 Pontiac Trans AM (Black/Gold) Fender

Quick question for you guys! So I have an 84 T/A in Black with the Gold trim. I am looking to replace the drivers side fender. It's pretty dented and has a good amount of surface rust. I got an estimate to fix it at ($604.00). I have tried to find a 84 fender, but I have had no luck. Can I buy a 1985 T/A fender and replace it with that one? And my other question is would it match well with my passenger side fender that is still in good shape or should I replace both fenders? Thanks for any help!

No, it would not work because 82-84 and 85-92 were different fenders.

Try here: LINK

EDIT: The older fenders are more expensive, probably because less of them available/made, but even if you got both left & Right, you will still save about 60$ then having them repair the one.

I've heard the vents are different sizes and the holes for the ground effects are in different places.
