Front Bumper Cover Question
Hello All! I posted this in a different area but I though this might be a better place...
I recently purchased a "new" but old 85 T/A front bumper cover for cheap ($85). It is an aftermarket with a CAPA sticker and it has never been mounted or painted.
I have a question:
The BC has been sitting for years and is slightly deformed. The center facing the front/outward is sunken in a little. Is there a way to address this? Or will it take shape once it is installed? The BC seems to be thick rubber material. its not rigid plastic...
I've read of people using a heat gun to straighten out these covers. Should I try this before I start sanding/priming?
Thanks!

Re: Front Bumper Cover Question
It would probably be useless to try to straighten it with a heat gun before installing it. There's no way of knowing how it will pull into shape until installed. Besides even though it's a CAPA inspected part it may not fit perfectly anyway.
So, go ahead and install it to see what you have. Bumper covers aren't rigid plastic.
