just bought a set of 15x7 firebird wheels.. my buddy thinks they are for a fiero. Does anyone know for sure if they also made 15x7 wheels for 86 TA? I know they made 16x 8 as well

If it's gold an looks like the t/a crosslace but 15in there just stock 91-92 firebird rims

 

I was told gm had a stock pile of them from the 80s and painted them gold and used them to get rid of them and save money.don't know if there's any truth in it but it sounds like gm

 

Standard wheels for TA in 86 was 15x7 "salad shooters" . 16" was option. Yes, the 15x7 look almost exactly like the fiero rims, except the fiero rims were less dished I think. Some appearance packages had the 15s in gold or white. So yes, they are probably the correct rims. If you look at google images of 85 and 86 TAs , you'll see plenty of them.

 

The 86 Fiero wheels were 14s, they looked identical to the 16s but smaller, the 15s were available for Firebirds and SE's and standard on he TA's,there concaved, the 16s were available on the Trans Am with the WS6 Package only.
