save or scrap
hi i just picked up an 89 camaro rs that's been sitting for about 10 years. bought it from a family member for cheap money. the original motor and transmission is gone and replaced with a 305 and manual transmission out of an 84 trans am. the car has about 80k original miles on body and maybe 100k on used motor. he parked the car because he said the transmission is seized however it will go into gear. thoughts, suggestions, already started doing some body work on roof and hatch. drivers floor needs replacement and possible rocker panel work

If the worst of it is a floor and a rocker it's a car worth saving... And since you're not worried about originality, you can go as crazy with is as you want with the thing.

thanks for the input. yea the roof and hatch were really badly rusted too from being in the elements for 10 years but a couple of weekends and some elbow grease and i think the results were pretty good. removed all rust and then just sprayed some self etching primer. just a bandaid for now but looks better then rust

Just noticed the ashtray, may run faster if emptied LOL. The color of the car is great and these are great fun with the stick and TBI. Bought my son one when he started driving. No scraping this one.
