Will the Camaro hood latch filler panel fit on a 85-90 firebird? I dont want it to be functional and will have to cutout for the hood release hook and spring but wanted to know if it would fit the space and clean that area up? I hate the way the stocker looks and my home made one won't work anymore as I've changed my rad mounting/shroud.

 

The camaro piece is plastic vs steel on the fb.Different attachment points too.

 

Yea, I'm talking about laying it on top of the steel firebird hood latch. The Camaro one would be like a cover that just makes the firebird panel look better. I made one out of sheet aluminum that also covered my radiator mounts so it smoothed out the whole front end but now that I changed everything it won't fit. I could always trim the one I have but thought an OEM looking peice could look nicer.

The OEM firebird one just looks like @ss with all the formed metal. So lay the nicer smoothed Camaro cover on top and the still keep the firebird one under for hood latching and bumper support.

 

Should work, with a tweak or two.
