HOW-TO: Properly Fix your Fuel Door Alignment
The proper way to align your fuel door is with the factory gaskets.
GM PN #20418784 - fuel door gasket
It usually takes 2-3 to make your fuel door not rub, and I purchased the last two known to exist 3/2017
I measured the gaskets with a caliper, and even made a 1:1 printable page in PDF format so you can buy your own gasket material and trace them.

Its been a long time since I made gaskets for anything. I see the .033" gasket thickness noted on your drawing. Is that a common thickness? Can you buy gasket material different thickness' nowadays?
And thanks for doing this. I'm pretty sure I'm going to need it!

You can definitely order gasket sheets that are thicker or thinner and still make a gasket, you'll just end up with either more or less flexibility when adjusting
And no problem guys
I researched my *** off to figure this out, as I can't stand not doing things "right". The tech article on this website about putting washers behind the bolts made me roll my eyes lol
