91 firebird rust help!
Hey guys, new to this site, have a 91 firebird with some rust issues (firewall, rockers, bottom fender mounts, ect)! I found a doner 84 firebird and was wondering if i will run into any issues transplanting body parts from one to another? Thanks

The bulk of that should transfer just fine. I cannot remember if the firewall has some different holes. Although seems like it would be easier to transplant the drive train from the 91 into the 84

Re: 91 firebird rust help!
Unless the 91 is a rare car swap everything to the 84. Everything will bolt up. These cars are still too cheap for us to get attached to a rusty thirdgen. You start saying there is rust in the firewall, rockers and fender mounts and it's probably not going to be as straight forward as you think. If you've never done this level of work or you don't have ample time along with body and welding skills this (saving a possibly rusted out 91) is not the project you want to take on.

The 84 is at a junk yard and has been hacked up and what not, all the sheet metal I'd need is there! Just need to know if I will run into any issues along the way! I do have over 6 yrs body/sheet metal work experience so I'm not afraid of the challenge! I'll post pics of the rust when I get a chance

Ahh that is a different story. I believe all the skins will be fine if the transmission are different then there is an extra hole in the floor and firewall but nothing that is sounds like you cant handle. Go strip down that 84
