VIN plate rusted. Best way to fix it?

Hey Guys,

The VIN plate in my 87 IROC is so rusted you cannot read the number.

Wondering the best way to rectify that.

Thanks

There are several online companies that can recreate VIN placards. Have them make one and take the placard and the car to your DMV for a level 2 inspection. The cost is usually $20. They will verify the VINs on the car are all the same and then have the officer swap out the VIN placards. It's just two pop rivets, correct? Then just put the certificate from him with the title in a safe place.
