MACCO

I have a 92 firebird with decent paint. I would like to just get the car resprayed and fix a few dings and my front liscence plate holes filled. But i would like to get their highest quality job. Anyone have any advice? Am i asking for trouble? Im not looking for complete perfection but i would like it to look better for a car show. Thanks!

Re: MACCO

Tape off any areas you don't want to be oversprayed, like the black shrouds around your headlights. On second thought, I'd remove your headlight covers (as they are only 4 screws each), and totally tape off what remains. There are a few threads on here where members did the prep work themselves, and had macco do the spraying.

Re: MACCO

Remove everything that you can to include side mirrors, tail lights, window sweeps, side markers, antenna, head lights, bumper cover inserts, turn signals, and then sand the whole car yourself.

Re: MACCO

It depends on the location. I have seen some descent jobs from them. Check out the location and some.of their finished vehicles.
And like stated above take off all the lights etc. And sand it or scuff it before if you have the time and place to do it. That saves a bunch of labor hours.
