83 Camaro z28
Bondo job?
looking at purchasing an 83 z28. Just wanted some information on what to look for.
Looks solid and drove nice.
Worried about potential rust areas. Lowest guy will go is 5000. Car has a 350 with a Borg warner t5 transmission. All new lines and brakes.

Re: 83 Camaro z28
Its a good lookin' 20 footer for sure!
But up close its got some rust poppin' thru a previous bondo
repair and paint.
I would inspect the bottom, floors and inside the spare tire well
for rot holes or bondo repairs very closely.
IMO $5000 is too much along with the failing bondo pops I would
keep lookin...................

Anyone who would put one of those antennas on a car, should have their *** removed.
Let's see, mismatched tail lights, upside down front bumper emblem, and rust... I'd try to find something better for the money.
The details suggest that the car wasn't exactly babied. A previous owner didn't care enough to even find a correct tail light lens, or even enough to apply a couple pieces of tape and squirt some black paint. The front bumper to hood gap is too wide. If the hood is latched and that gap is present, I'd be looking extra closely under the hood for signs of a previous collision. I'd get underneath and look closely for more rust. Any rust holes I'd probably pass. Any rust that looks like bubbles under the paint, I'd pass.
