Eastwood reds

Has anyone used any of the Eastwood reds to match the factory bright red?

GM WA8774 code 81 seems to be the number. Some years it's called Flame Red, then Bright Red and Bright Rally Red.

Their Pro Street Red has a picture of a 3rd gen with it. Not sure that means anything.

And they do have a Rally Red.

Re: Eastwood reds

Instead of trying to match bright red why not just buy bright red?

Re: Eastwood reds

I didn't see a Bright Red at Eastwood.
Or you referring to a custom mix from a name brand?
I'm in the "pick out paint stage" and was wondering if anyone used any of the Eastwood Reds that was the same Bright Red. And their experience with it of course. I haven't read anything bad about their base.

Re: Eastwood reds

If you take that paint code to a store that sells paint they'll give you bright red and will probably cost the same as eastwoods paints. It sounds like bright red is what you want, right?

Re: Eastwood reds

Yes sir, bright Red. Most Eastwood gallons are around 200 bucks. A buddy just bought a gallon of PPG for 1000. Now I don't know what else may have been included in that. Is there that much difference in price? I want a quality paint.

Re: Eastwood reds

Are u using single stage enamel or base coat/clear coat paint?

Why bother buying on line unless it a lot cheaper than your local body shop supply house?

The last car I shot i used Limco single stage paint at a $100 a gallon.
Bought at the local auto body jobber.
