Converting To Power Locks
I never did it on my f-body, but I did add a Spal Power Door lock kit to my '79 El Camino. It was easy; there were already holes where the factory actuators should go and the Spal actuators bolted in using them. No switches needed as the type I bought has a controller that is actuated by grounding signal from an alarm or by locking/unlocking either side. There are switches available as an option too. I didn't want to make holes in my panel for a non-factory looking switch - just **** that way. Spal is an Italian company - I bought it off e-bay for $39.99 + shipping from mendy0159@aol.com. I ordered it right after the 9-11 tragedy, and it never arrived - she promptly reshipped.
If you want factory look and sound (the Spal is really quiet compared to my IROC and my Astro Van) - I would imagine it would be pretty easy if you can find a donor car for actuator, linkage, wiring etc.

I was actually hoping to grab parts from a stock car at the wreckers to do this swap, since it would be cheaper. Plus, I know if I can take the parts off I can put them back on too
ok i had manual locks on mine....heres what you need
wiring harnesses for locks, door lock actuators, and the buttons for the door, thats all i needed, i ran the wires from one door to the other under the dash, hooked up the switches, powered the harness with a +12v wire, wired the buttons, mounted the actuators, and used coat hanger to complete from actuator to the lock, and mine still works like a champ...
