It doesn't seem to fit look of the car in my opinion. Third gens are hard lined, kind of angular cars and this body kit is too rounded. Personally the only body kits I ever like on anything are the kind that fit the look of the car so well that they seem like they could have come like that from the factory. Not the case here.

In the video the owner says it has a 300hp LS1 but it looks like it has TPI runners and clearly says Tuned Port Injection right on the throttle body....??

yes i dunno why the owner says its an LS1. I suppose he doesnt know much about the history of the cars - just saw one, grew up hearing the word "LS1" and assumed that since its an f-body it must have one.

 

You said "body kit" in the thread title and I knew it was going to be hideously ugly before opening the thread. I was not disappointed.

Looks like someone is trying to make a Firebird look like some dippy import from the 90s. I like thirdgens because they DON'T look like dippy imports from the 90s.

There are some cars that are butt ugly enough that such "treatments" can sometimes be an improvement , but not our beloved third gens ! That body kit is guilty of what all body kits are guilty of , namely it's got too many openings , and it's trying too damn hard to be "futuristic" and badazzed looking , all the while ending up looking kinda dated & somewhat goofy .

I'll stick with the clean lines the General designed our cars with , Thank You very much .....
