2" Cowl Hood for Trade - Any Takers?

I recently picked up an 89 Camaro RS, and it came with this 2" Cowl hood (no clue what brand it is). I don't really like it too much....I'd rather have the stock hood with the vents....

I live up in Massachusetts....anyone near looking for a Cowl Hood? I'd be willing to sell it...or swap hoods (and maybe a few other little things).

Let me know.

Here's a pic of it....

Well...I wouldn't say it's flimsy...but it seems like the lifters need to be wiggled with this hood. I think it's more because the hood is too light compared to stock. So when I pop the hood...I need to kind of wiggle it forward and back at the corners...then the lifters will pop up. Going back down is no problem though. Harder to push because of less weight...but I bet if I got less powerful lifters....it would be fine

I may keep it..I may not. I don't like the fact that it blocks some of my right hand vision....and my girlfriend thinks it looks stupid. I actually like the looks.....and think it will look BETTER after I paint the car. We'll see what happens ;-)

I would trade my 91 Z28 hood in a heartbeat for that cowl hood but I live all the way in Maryland.

It looks like there is a chip in the front but otherwise how's the condition? If it's good AND the price is right I might be interested in buying it and taking the drive to pick it up. I live in NY so the price would have to be pretty decent. I'm also seeing what I can do about getting a stock hood b/c I know some people who may be able to hook me up. If so we can trade.

Yeah...there is a small chip on the driver's side front section...maybe 3 inches from the driver's side fender. Should be an easy repair with some fiberglass cloth, but I'm not really a body man ;-)

Other than that....there is no structural damage to it from what I see. It's obviously just coated in a primer...and some chips in that....but it needs paint anyway...so that's not really an issue.
