Gearbox tunnel differeces?

Gearbox tunnel differeces?

Hi.im new here from germany.the last time i rebuild my 88 firebird formula 5 speed in a rustless dentless body and i found a difference in the gearbox tunnel in the driver side and i dont know if i had to Weld in this bump in to get the t5 5 speed transmission in this tunnel.or did i need it at a t56 conversion?



This little bump under the foam under the heating outlet


My new body dont have this bump.

I searched here for 5 speed t5 conversion pictures where i can se if they all have this bump.when somebody had pictures of his conversion is it a big help for me.
