I have 2 Firebird Tail Light Housings (1 Left and 1 Right) which have both had their outer bottom edge broken off during postage to me and consequently have a 3rd Right Tail Light on its way I'm intending to use as a template for a mold to hopefully repair both.
Right Tail Light (broken on right bottom corner without enough pieces to glue back together) Left Tail Light (broken on left side with found pieces glued back on)
However, I've never done this before and don't know what the Tail Lights are made from nor how to make them in order to seamlessly repair them. Can anyone advise on what I'll need for this? It's been suggested by a friend that I use fiberglass mat & resin over a wax paper covered tail light assembly to create the mold. I will need to be able to push the mold inside-out to use it for the left light though so I don't know whether this will work for that.
