Side mirror glass, not broken, just want to remove

Hey y'all.

I have my mirrors removed from my car to repaint them. I want to take the mirror glass off of them so I don't mess them up sanding, painting, fiddling around with them in general. How do I do this? Is it as easy as just trying to pry it away from the housing? I don't want to break it in the process; I know what to do it that does happen (did a search).

Thanks.

C'mon man, cut the dude a break ... hes askin an honest question. Oh, BTW, that did come off as being rude.

Anyway, to answer your question, the glass and its holder pops out of the assembly. Be gentle takin it out, cause the little cross arm on the back (youll know what im talkin about when ya take it off) is quite fragile. Now, if you wanna get the piece of glass out of its holder, I believe its glued in there.
Good Luck!

Thanks 88 GTA... You got the point of me asking to take the GLASS OFF. I have read many posts on how to take the whole freakin' mirror assembly off. The "glued in there" was the answer to my question. Tyler-88, thanks for your time and no answer; read the question next time.
