Black thing under trans am nose
Can someone tell me what this black plastic thing under my 85 trans am nose is and what it's for.
there's only one.. previous owner broke off other one. Can i remove it or does it serve a purpose?

My 87 Formula has it. No idea what it does.. I removed it and no issues at all

It's a skid that the factory used to protect while loading new cars on a transport to head to dealerships...
