Does anyone know if all the air induction hoods were painted body color on the underside or were they black under the insulation, thanks!

Body color for mine under the insulation. The fiberglass was not really finished smooth and over time the paint looks dingy. As few of the threads state, the paint in the engine compartment, floors, whatever was really an afterthought, or by product of overspray when the cars were painted in the factory. Remember that GM just started to use robots to paint some of the cars. These robots had a set spray program. I remember a book I read years ago that sometimes these robot painters would get out of synch and end up painting themselves instead of the car on the line.
