Seat Belt Retractor
My problem is not that the seat belt will not retract, I have to help it retract on the driver's side by pushing it back.
Any of you fellows have that problem?
I am familiar with the repair where the seat belt is locked, fully extended, so that it will not retract at all.
i have viewed a youtube video repairing/rewinding the spring. Not sure that I want to try that. Like rewinding the spring in an old school alarm clock.
If the spring broke or unwound, I would assume that it would not rewind at all. Also there is a " pretensioner" that locks the belt in a collision or sudden stop.
I believe that it could also block the retracting of the belt.

Re: Seat Belt Retractor
I struggled with slow or non retracting seat belts on a few vehicles and then learned a trick. You can laugh all you want but it works. Pull the seat belt out all of the way and put a spring loaded clip on it to prevent it retracting. Get a bucket of warm water with laundry soap and soak the belt and keep swishing it around. You'll probably be disgusted with the amount of dirt you get from it and will have to change the water a few times. Last bucket should be clear water to rinse it, then leave it out overnight to dry.

Re: Seat Belt Retractor
I found a company name SafetyRestore.com who can repair the seatbelt retractor problem that I have.
My car's seatbealts are clean as a whistle. Car only had 23000 kilometers when I got is in 2021.
I intend to check the "pin" problem to see if modifying it will rectify the problem

My sons car, 2010 Acura TSX seatbelt did the same thing, I took a bucket of hot soapy water and let the belt portion soak for 30 min. Once it was dry it worked correctly again. The water was brown afterwards.

I really need to do this to my truck's seat belt. I'm going to clean it in a bucket of soapy water and let it air out.
