Headlights

I know that this is going to be a dumb question, but how do you change a headlight in an 87 Z28. I know that you are suppose to remove the trim piece which is held in place by four phillips screws, but I cannot get to the bottom 2. Any ideas ??

When I replaced my head lights, I took a thin towel and placed it in front of the lights, so not to scratch the paint.
Then you need a long and I mean long phillips screwdriver, so the handle is out past the bumper cover. Sears craftmans makes a nice one. Wedge the screwdriver between the frame of the head light and the bumper cover . Keep the towel between the screwdriver and the bumper cover.

It works, you have to push down on the bumper cover a little.

Hey, while you have the frames off, give them a good coat of black paint. It will make you headlights look clean.

Another trick is to reverse the heat lights, by putting the dim in the middle and the bright on the outside. You dont swap the plug ends but just the location of the lights.

now remember when I said swap the head lights you leave them plug up the way they are suposed to be . just move them from outside to inside and vis a versa. I dont think the leads for the high beam will fit the low beam.

It is different but looks cool.

P.S. Im not trying repeat myself or me or you, Im just trying to make my post clear. IM not good with giving directions!!
