I found a website called alldatadiy.com. I bought a subscription for my 88 IROC and one of the GM TSB's was for intermittent power door lock operation. It said the locking rods were a problem. So much so that GM made a new part to replace faulty locking rods to help fix the problem. It states that you can tell if this is the problem after door panel removal, by a gap between the rear end of the slot on the power door lock bellcrank and the bend on the door locking rod when in the locked position.

I called a local dealer today and was told that the 2 parts below were discontinued in 1998. Is there a company that sells discontinued GM parts like these?
