1991 145mph gauge cluster for a 115mph

1991 145mph gauge cluster for a 115mph

Hey everyone i have a question for you guys. I have been reading the posts on gauge swaping but i still havent found a definate answer to my question: Can I swap the 115mph guage in my 1991 RS to a 145mph Z28 speedometer with out changing anything. In otherwords will it just bolt right in?

u can swap any speedo gauge into any cluster as long as they were both 90-92 clusters.. the tachs are the only exception (u need a v6 tach for a v6 engine and a v8 tach for a v8 engine)..

Cool thanks guys. Now i just have to buy the 145mph cluster. Any one know where i can get one for cheap. I have talked to my local dealer and they want $500 for one! At thirdgenresource.com they have used ones for $200 any one know of anywhere cheaper.

You'll just have to look around.Try salvage yards.I found mine at a local small car dealer who was parting out a 90 iroc.I bought the whole car for $900 and used what I could and parted out the rest.
