does anyone know where i can get a dust plate for my guages, i dont no whut happend to it but its all foggy and crapped up, i tried to clean it and it woulndt work so i am jsut gonna get a new oine but i cant find one anywhere, it makes my guages hard to see and it looks liek ****, so could anyone tell me a web site or ne place where i could get a new dust plate. thanks

Check your local dealer first.You may be suprised that its probably cheaper than the place listed above.

 

I think what might actually cause that is some of the cleaners people use on their dash. I think there made of either butrate or Acrylic, and the plastic is easily damaged by chemicals. I have one faceplate here that looks like something ran down it. there are drip marks.

As for buying a shield, it seems to me that everyone wants to sell the whole cluster as a unit not breaking up the cluster.

I dunno the only thing you can do is call thirdgen or look in salvageyards.

try these part numbers 25084190 or 16134123

The first one is for 86-89, the second one is for 90-92, but I have a 92 cluster and the lens fit my 87 fine. probably a superceded part number.
