where can I find best prices for used 4th gen seats that are in good condition and how much should I expect to pay for them. I am just looking for the front 2 seats (drivers & passengers).

 

I bought a full set (front/rear) of charcoal grey cloth seats from a 98 Bird for $125 at a swap meet. Perfect condition.

Ebay should have some.

 

I'm getting all the seats outta a '98 z28 for $250, all are perfect, and I mean IMACULATE. Look in the Junk Yards first, though that may seem like a bad place to start, sometimes you can get REAL lucky

like TAdan said, eBay does have some. Both cloth and leather. But the reserve on those auctions are usually set at 500 and more for leather. Cloth seats average about 200 to 300 on average. I usually keep a look out on eBay and they have fair or decent offers, but its buy at your own risk if you do.

 

Can anyone comment on the height of the 4th gen seats in a 3rd gen? my 91Z has the power drivers seat, and to me it sits too high, i would like to sit 1-2" lower. Will the 4th gen seats sit at same height? or higher or lower?

The 4thGen seats fit just fine. The driver's seat is power so you can adj to your liking but it is an otherwise bolt in job and sit close to the same height as the stock seats. Here's a link to some pics of my conversion if anyones interesed...

in the march super chevy, there is a pic of a '02 ss of white leather seats w/ red inserts.. has anyone ever seen there seats in person? i really want those seats (ill buy them from a dealer if i have to).. what int combinations would look good with those seats? the ext of the car is white..

I dont know if they all are but Im assuming they are or a good majority. I was lucky enough to have a power seat already so it was straight foward. Do yourself a favor and get the wireharness that connects the two front seats together. Its rather short and will need to be routed under your console. That takes care of power for both seats and air tubes, then just power up your driver's seats and youre ready to go, once you see it in person its self explanatory.....

 

I got mine for $150 canadian (less than $100 US) for the whole set... rare red leather. Mine are power inflatable lumbar & side bolster.... I didn't get the harness, but the wiring was no big deal.

 

I got a set of these rare neutral leather (not tan) seats out of a 97 Trans Am for $400 on eBay.
