T-Top weatherstripping
I just recieved my GM T-Top weatherstripping kit from Classic Industries. Has anyone installed this kit? Did you follow the directions? Anything to look out for? Any tips? Did it fit OK including the new panel pcs? How long did it take to install?
Any insight would be a great help.
Thanks.

I bought the kit from CI in 97 I got the GM OEM one...
I think its great, I did it when I painted my car so I really cannot tell you how long it took because I did it in stages.
I would recommend setting a saturday ond doing it, to do it right it will take you all doay to remove the old clean everything and install...
I would recommend taking some 100% silicone and making sure you have a good seal everywhere, under the black metal center strip to the body, between the seals and black metal center strip etc...
good luck, have fun...

I just did this last weekend to my 92 Camaro.......spent about 4 hours removing the old stripping (used adhesive remover and a wire brush). I took my time to get it all out and removed the center piece, sanded and repainted it. The new T-top stripping (also from Classics) fit perfectly. Be very careful removing all your trim as it may be a tad brittle. I have yet to do the T-tops themselves. I found an article which gave some additional insight and just used lots of weather-stripping glue. Your T-tops may need to be adjusted afterwards to get a nice fit. No leaks as of yet!! I actually recovered my headliner while I was at it.
