Ok, I got a new upper console piece of plastic for my camaro, and I was almost done on removing my old one when it occurred to me that I need to pull the upper plastic piece off the ebrake. I took off the handle and tried my hardest to pull the top plastic off but I would end up braking it then I couldn't put the new console in. So I figured, If I disconnect the ebrake cable that connects to the ebrake, I could pull the center console straight up and off! But I have no idea how to do this. Does anyone here know how? Thanks if anyone can help me!

What do you mean by upper plastic piece? Ive had everything out and appart so explain what your talking about and I can help.
Ok, so you know how there is a bottom console piece that bolts to the ground of the car. This is the piece that bolts on top of that. It goes from the radio pod to where you put all your insurance papers in the console. Do you know what I'm talking about now?

Elevario, could you be a little more specific? You can remove the whole console without removing the e-brake assembly. Did you remove all the torx bolts and the 10mm bolts inside the console?
Yes I removed all of them. The problem was, I couldn't lift the console off of the ebrake. The ebrake is holding it down. See, my ebrake is very tight. It probably only pulls up like 2 or 3 clicks. If I could get the ebrake sticking straight up, I could pull the console up off of the ebrake. Do you see what I'm saying now? I'm sorry for being so confusing!
